HOLE-IN-ONE (JULY 8, 2010)
Herman J Eddins, from Van Wert, Ohio scored the second hole-in-one in less than a week on #3. PLaying a nine iron from 131 yds, Herman rolled the ball right into the hole. Congratulations Herman!!
Army Velasco scores his second Hole-In-One(JULY 1, 2010)
Army scored his second Hole-In-One on #3 in the last two years. Army used a seven iron from 128 yards, Congratulations!!
2010 Adams County Championship comes to a Conclusion
Keith Blythe won the Championship with a great finishing round of 66 to win over Bob Goulet. Brenda Shifferly won the Womens Championship with a two day total of 161 over Kristen Sprunger from Golf Club of the Limberlost. It was one of the biggest fields in recent years for the women. Senior Championship was won by Jack Claussen by way of a sudden death playoff over Dave Suman they both finished the two day event at 159. Once again John Geels showed his abilities in the Super Senior event with a two day total of 171 winning over John Hackworth. Thank You to Pizza Hut for their Sponsorship and Support!

2010 Cross Creek Junior Camp
June 14th - 18th, Cross Creek Golf Club held it's annual Junior Golf Camp. The program had a wonderful turn out, a combined total of over ninety boys and girls particapted in the week long clinic. Cross Creek would like to thank all the instructors: Mike Macke, Kyle Eichenauer, Drew Norby, A J Kalver, Jared Friedt, Luke Ainsworth for all thier efforts and swing knowledge. Results of the Final Day Tournament will follow in the next few days after all information is processed. Will have a few shirts available for sale of the 2010 Junior Camp, come on out to the shop and purchase an extra shirt.
Remember next week (Wednesday June 23rd, 8:00 am) starts the six week long Junior League!!

Betty Terveer Golf Event Finals
Pat Daniels, Steph Shifferly, Maggie McConnell and Janean Lanham were the big winners for the women's first golf event of the year. Playing a Scramble event, the four ladies scored a two under par 34 to win. Thanks to all who played in this years event and congratulations to the winners.

When it rains it pours! Our second hole-in-one for the season. Don York, playing with Kay Jauregui scored his first hole-in-one of his golfing career on April 29th. Hole number three again was mangnanimous for the second hole-in-one in under a week. Don was playing from 150 yards using a seven iron to strike his ace, Congratulations Don!!

Cross Creek Junior League will begin June 23rd. League will be held every Wednesday starting on the 23rd of June and ending on July 21st.

Congratulations To Bob Ladd!!!
Bob Ladd scored his first hole-in-one of his career Friday April 23rd. Hole number three playing at 118 yards became the first hole-in-one of the 2010 season. Bill Lynch, Bob Mies and Ed (Chief) Odle were the witnesses to Bob's spectacular feat.

Members at Cross Creek Golf Club will have a reciprocal agreement with Eagle Glen Golf Club in Columbia City, Indiana. Members of each club will be able to play each others course for just the cart fee (you are obligated to take a cart). Pro Shop will be required to make your arragements for your golf, it must be a scheduled tee time, no walk-ins will be allowed.
Bellmont Invitational Results
Bellmont finished first in their own Invitational this weekend. Bellmont scored a 330 in some extreme weather conditions, Jimmy Baker of Bellmont lead all scorers with an 80. Second place went to Jay County with a 386, third place went to Southern Wells with a 401. Other schools particating in the days event was Adam Central and South Adams schools.
April 10th DFL League
Call before 2:30 pm Saturday and play in the DFL league which rescheduled from Friday night. Tee times will start at 3:30 pm.

Pro Shop will open for the season. The shop hours are as follows: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Sunday until further notice. We presently have close-out clothes and shoes on sale. The new 2010 apparel will be arriving soon. Come out and buy your 2010 Membership. Golf Course will remain closed until weather and conditions permit.
Cross Creek and Grey Goose Golf Clubs paired off on May 3rd for the Annual Ryder Cup Style "Hall of Fame Golf Championship."
Cross Creek regained the title this year with an 18-12 victory. The day long event entailed playing 9 holes two man team scramble, 9 holes two man better ball, 9 holes two man modified alternate shot and finished with 12 men single matches. The individual events finished as follows:
Two Man Scramble: CC 4 pts, GG 2 pts
Two Man Better Ball: CC 4 pts, GG 2 pts
Two Man Modified Alternate Shot: CC 3 1/2 pts, GG 2 1/2 pts
Singes Match Play: CC 6 1/2 pts, GG 5 1/2 pts
Total: Cross Creek 18, Grey Goose 12
This annual event still has Grey Goose in the series lead 5 to 3. It was a very exhausting day for some who played 36 holes, but the competition and camaraderie was enjoyed by all.
Competitors that played for Cross Creek Golf Club were as follows: Scott Ainsworth (Captain), Mark Bixler, Kraig Hart, Mike Ainsworth, Martin Simonson, Todd Kiser, Tom Krueckeberg, Keith Blythe, Mike Macke, Jared Friedt, Drew Norby, Terry Laurent, Dan Rickord and Kip Pancake.
Green Aerification will take place weather permitting October 13th - 17th. Front nine will be shut down first, with the back remaining open. Back nine will close next with the front opening back up. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Congratulations to the Cross Creek Cup team, they retained the Cup again. The all day event consisted of two man scramble, two man best ball, two man alternate shot and the final single matches.
The final points were Cross Creek 19 1/2 pts to Wabash Valley 10 1/2 pts. Kraig Hart dominated the team points with 4 wins no losses or ties, Kraig was voted most valuable player by the team members.
Scott Ainsworth accomplished his Hole-in-one on #11, 216 yards July 10th.
Bill Stuckey also hit a hole-in-one on #7 , 171 yards on August 5th. This was witnessed by Both Carey Oetting and Steve Smith.

Tara Rickord & Kraig Hart both won their first Club Championship. Kraig played well both days and shot a 73, 74 for a 147 over Mark Bixler who posted a 73, 77 for a two day total 150. Congratulations Kraig!
Tara Rickord also played well under pressure fending off past Champion Brenda Shifferly and two other superb golfers Missy Ainsworth and Steph Shifferly. Tara shot 80 on the first day to Brenda's 81 and Missy's 83. Day two proved to be very exciting as all four ladies remained within one or two shots throughout the day. Congrats to Tara on her first Championship.
John Geels again won his Senior division. John shot an excellent 77 on day two to fend off his closet competitor Tim Klingensmith. Congratulations again John on another win.
Low Junior Amateur this year with a 79 & 82 for a total of 161 went to Luke Ainsworth.
CONGRATULATIONS, Brenda Shifferly, Women's Champion, Jack Claussen, Senior Champion and Dave Marlow, Men's Champion.
Brenda Shifferly defended her title again this year by beating Tara Rickord. The Senior Championship went into a sudden death playoff with Aj Kalver and Jack Claussen battling it out. Jack beat Aj on the first hole of sudden death. Todd Kiser and Dave Marlow had a great match in the Men's Division. The winner was not decided until the last hole.
Congratulations to all the players and winners. Next season the Championship will take place at the Grey Goose and Wabash Valley. The Championship will be alternating between Cross Creek Golf Club and Grey Goose.

June 14th was the Jim Daniels Event, 34 teams participated in the 9 hole event. Dick Steury, Chairman of the event, stated that the outing was a success.
Also this weekend, June 14th, we had a Long Drive Contest ( Sponsored By Ideal Realty) and a $5000.00 Putting Contest(Sponsored By Cross Creek Golf Club). The Long Drive Event was won by Andrew Kohne who drove the ball over 288 yds to Todd Kiser's 273 yds. The competition was tough, twenty entries paired off against each other to get to the final two. The action was performed down #1 fairway with a host of spectators looking on.
The same goes for the Putting contest, over 75 participates tried to make a 10 foot putt in order to move to the 30 foot putt. Only two patrons moved through the ranks in order to try for the $5000.00 Cash Prize. Todd Kiser and Nick Steury attempted the 50 foot putt. With a flip of the coin for honors, due to one winner only, Nick placed his putt just short and inches away for the prize, Todd was second and stroked his putt high and long.
If that was not enough, Sunday the CCMGA held it's ODD-EVEN 2 Man Scramble. Turn out was strong, 22 teams entried, but no match for the combination of Dr.Mike Ainsworth & Dale Manis and Dan Rickord & Jared Friedt. Dr. Mike Ainsworth & team mate Dale Manis won the Net Event with a 54. Dan Rickord and Jared Friedt won the Scratch Event with a 59. Second place scratch went to Keith Blythe and Kriag Hart with a 58, while second low Net went to Alex & Scott Ainsworth with a 55. Congratulations gentleman on your fine play!
