Terry J Laurent, CGCS – Golf Course Manager
Terry began his golf career at Cross Creek under its former name, Decatur Golf Course. He started working on the course in maintenance while in middle school and continued through high school. After attending Penn State University’s Turfgrass Management program, Terry became a Certified Golf Course Superintendent. His first Superintendent position was with Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware. Terry then moved onto Harbourtown Resort & Country Club in St. Michaels, Maryland followed by taking the position of Director of Golf Courses & Grounds at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. His 16-year term with Saucon Valley included two US Senior Opens (1992 and 2000).

Terry’s honors throughout his career include:

• Played as a marker in the 2000 US Senior Open
• Recognized Best Superintendent in Philadelphia area, The Fan magazine, 1999 Philadelphia Sports Magazine
• Recognized by the Golf Course Superintendents Associations of America for accomplishment during 2000 US Senior Open
• Past President of Penn State Turfgrass Alumni Association
• Past Council Member for Pennslyvania Turfgrass Council
• Present Board Member of Hoosier Chapter of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America
• 1986 Penncross Bentgrass Growers Association Scholarship Award
